Cucuzza is an Italian vegetable which, although sometimes called a squash, is actually a gourd. It as pale green skin, white flesh, and seeds. The seeds and flesh are edible, though you may wish to remove the seeds. Cucuzza can grow up to 27 inches in length and 6 inches in diameter, sometimes resembling a baseball bat.

Good cucuzza should be firm with no soft spots and glossy. It has a very mild flavor which benefits best from strong seasoning. You can learn more about cucuzza below from The Kitchn!
